My dad is desperate for feedback! Shoot us, but mostly him, an email at movieswithmydadpod@gmail.com

Alien: Romulus
On this week’s car ride home, we debate whether this movie is a humanist-centered comment on our society or just a really nasty, slimy horror film. Guess who picks which. Stratis was drowsy for the first 30 minutes and then couldn’t even blink for the next 90 minutes. Tina explains her love of xenomorphs and we both talk too much about alien genitals. If you’re ready for an-amped up alien encounter, come along with us.

Episode 11 - Trap
On this week’s car ride home, we discuss whether Stratis would make it as a serial killer or if he’d fall under the spell of Ted Bundy. Tina thinks the movie is all about a dad (who just happens to be a serial killer) trying to get out of watching a teenage pop concert. We narrowly escape a side-impact accident and reminisce about a Jonas Brothers concert we saw together. Stratis wants to know why people are so fascinated with serial killers. Tina can’t stop at being just a movie critic and feels the need to criticize Stratis’ driving. Let’s see if this thriller helps Stratis learn how to get out of police handcuffs.
Note: An earlier version had me, Tina, mispronouncing M. Night’s name despite listening to a million pronunciation guides!!

Episode 10 - Deadpool & Wolverine
On this week’s car ride home, Tina’s heart gives a “wooo” for Jennifer Garner and Stratis tries to convince Tina that he really is a comic book nerd. We both agree that Channing Tatum is the runaway star of this movie…or was it the chihuahua that has serious genetic issues? Join us as we enter the world of X-men and attempt to dodge a hail of bullets!

Episode 6 - MaXXXine
On this week’s car ride home, we travel back to the ‘80s for fame, fortune, and lots of murders in yet another father/daughter film. We both lament Kevin Bacon’s early demise and wish his great performance had lasted longer. Stratis has some notes for director Ti West. Time travel back to Stratis’ youth, just with a lot more murder and death!
