2026 Oscar Predictions
Episode 79: Oscars With My Mom
Stratis sits this episode out so Tina can take her mom, Regina, along to make completely uninformed Oscar predictions based solely on studios’ promotional photos of nominated films and actors. Takeaways from Mom include “the tall man is so tall,” “I feel nothing,” and “that’s a very good crying face.” You don’t want to miss her pick for best picture! Maybe Hollywood should consider this approach for future awards.

Psycho Killer
Episode 77: Psycho Killer
If you’re looking for a feel-good rom com date flick you might want to steer clear of Psycho Killer, as if the name wasn’t a good enough clue. Actually, you might want to steer clear of this if you aren’t a murderous, satan-loving, horror-loving kind of person. Staying true to form, Stratis doesn’t understand why these kinds of stories need to be told and really wonders why studio executives spend money on them. We somehow go off on a tangent about Malcolm McDowell and how many times Caligula has come up in Tina’s life this week. Ultimately, we struggled to talk about this movie. You would think a film that can bring together Three Mile Island, a government-mutated human, and a murderous road trip would be more fun. Oh, well.

How to Make a Killing
Episode 76: How to Make a Killing
Looking for a happy story about killing off seven relatives to score a $28 billion payout? Then this week’s film, How to Make a Killing, is right up your alley. We spend most of the show talking about the rise of Glen Powell as a true movie star, and Tina delves into our need to build up and then tear down our stars. There was no disagreement that Glen is a pretty man! This movie is a fresh take on the tale-as-old-as-time morality play of wealth, ambition, values, and family, all with a fun attitude to keep you entertained.
