New Trailer, Images, & Poster for “Zootopia 2”
The highly-anticipated Walt Disney Animation Studios sequel, Zootopia 2, sets a November 26 theatrical release. 2016’s Zootopia picked up the Oscar for Best Animated Feature at the 89th Academy Awards and Zootopia 2 promises an all-new, big-screen adventure.
“It’s been an absolute joy to re-team with so many actors who made the first film so special, and so exciting to expand the world with our phenomenal new cast members,” said director/writer Jared Bush (chief creative officer for Walt Disney Animation Studios). “I can’t wait for audiences to see what other surprises we have in store in this brand-new adventure.”
Zootopia 2 sees rookie cops Judy Hopps (voice of Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voice of Jason Bateman) in a bit of a crisis. Their partnership is not as strong as they once thought and is put to the test in a police-mandated Partners in Crisis counseling program. They have bigger fish to fry, though, as it were. Or, perhaps, a bigger snake to fry as a mysterious, venomous serpent arrives in the animal metropolis.
Joining Goodwin and Bateman are a herd of new voice actors and some returning favorites. Ke Huy Quan, Fortune Feimster, and Quinta Brunson are the new members of the animal world while Idris Elba, Bonnie Hunt, Don Lake, Nate Torrence, Jenny Slate, Alan Tudyk, Maurice LaMarche, Leah Latham, Josh Dallas, Tommy Chong, Mark Rhino Smith, and Raymond Persi reprise their original roles.
