Mtn Craft Brings Festival Winners to Pittsburgh
Mtn Craft is a video production company based in Fairmont, West Virginia. While they’ve worked on international projects, they’re also focused on celebrating and developing the Appalachian film scene. Mtn Craft hosts an annual film festival at the Clarksburg, West Virginia, Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center to showcase films from and about the region. Ahead of the 2026 festival, which runs October 2 through 4, Mtn Craft is taking their show on the road to Pittsburgh and other locations with their Winners Tour.
On September 10, Mtn Craft will showcase award winners from the 2025 festival at The Lindsay Theater in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, at 7:30 p.m. The traveling show will feature six short films from the 2025 Mtn Craft Film Festival.
A Bottomless Reservoir of Joy, directed by Curren Sheldon - A portrait of West Virginia nature illustrator Rosalie Haizlett.
Ted and Toby Really Don’t Know, directed by Joshua White - Short animated film about two queer and anxious young men on one of their first dates. They get to know each other a little bit better, despite the oddness of their communication.
Capitol Limited, directed by Lily Ekimian Ragheb and Ahmed T. Ragheb - A wedding day, a tragedy, and an Amtrak train route are intertwined in this personal exploration of marriage and contemporary America.

The Ascent, directed by Elaine McMillion Sheldon - On the first day of Christmas break, Jared escapes his troubled home and wanders into the snowy woods, where he discovers the wreckage of a small plane. Returning to parents consumed by addiction, he witnesses their fragile world collapsing under the weight of need and neglect. As the snow deepens and the forest closes in, Jared’s escape into imagination blurs with the stark reality of survival.
Mountain Punk Arts, directed by Ethan Romaine - In rural Appalachia, punks come together to re-establish a surprisingly familiar sense of community.
