On this week’s car ride home, Saturday Night allows Stratis to relive his youth through the lens of a favorite late-night show that drove ’70s popular culture – Saturday Night Live. On the other hand, Tina is forced to endure a lackluster biopic that she compares to a superhero movie. Comedic genius George Carlin is poorly impersonated by Stratis as he gives a shoutout to a childhood friend. If you’re of a certain age and want to take a ride back to late-night New York City, hop in and give this episode a listen.

Episode 17 - The Substance
On this week’s car ride home, we debate whether The Substance is a masterpiece or a monstrosity, and we both have strong opinions on which one it is. Stratis wants to know why his daughter took him to a movie with so much female nudity, while Tina was just enjoying the vibes. Somehow we go off on a tangent about the cars in the movie, and Tina finds a way to make the connection between aging actors and vintage vehicles. Episode 16 - Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
On this week’s car ride home, we talk about whether you can bring a demon back from the great beyond, and if you can, would he still be funny. Stratis starts off by wanting to know why they ruined his beloved movie from the ’80s, and Tina is obsessing about the relationship between Lydia (Winona Ryder) and Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton). Both of us like Bob, the shrunken-head guy, and Tim Burton's use of old-school animation. We wrap this episode up with our first email from a listener! He tries to set us straight on the Marvel Universe, but we’re not sure if he succeeded. Come with us for the ride, just don’t say “his” name.

Episode 15 - Borderlands
On this week’s car ride home, we discuss whether Borderlands is nothing more than a live-action play-through of a video game, and if either Tina or Stratis can be called a real gamer. Bad Boys: Ride or Die
Episode 14 - Bad Boys: Ride or Die
On this week’s car ride home, we try to figure out what you can learn about a romantic relationship by pulling out your fingernails, then we see if Will Smith and Martin Lawrence can single-handedly take down the entire narco/government/police state. We both thought every actor in this movie was in their own separate, very different movie. Was it a serious cop film or a rom com or maybe a buddy comedy flick? We don’t know, but maybe you can decide. So hop into our crazy-fast pursuit car and let’s RIDE (or Die).

Alien (1979)
Episode 13 - Alien
This week we ditch the car for a walk around the block as we delve into the classic sci-fi horror film Alien (1979). Along for this walk is Tina’s chihuahua, Frankie, who tries to eat too much grass. This was Tina’s first viewing of the classic film, although she has fond memories of Disney’s Great Movie Ride in Orlando, where Sigourney Weaver’s animatronic robot leaves a lasting impression. Stratis has some serious science issues with space/time/distance, while Tina isn’t bothered by any of it. Find out if we can avoid all the Alien face huggers and chest bursters on this walk around the block.

Alien: Romulus
On this week’s car ride home, we debate whether this movie is a humanist-centered comment on our society or just a really nasty, slimy horror film. Guess who picks which. Stratis was drowsy for the first 30 minutes and then couldn’t even blink for the next 90 minutes. Tina explains her love of xenomorphs and we both talk too much about alien genitals. If you’re ready for an-amped up alien encounter, come along with us.
