FIRST LOOK: “The Last Frontier” Thriller Series Coming to Apple TV+
Apple TV+ has released the first look at the upcoming thriller series, The Last Frontier. The 10-episode series is created by Jon Bokenkamp (“The Blacklist”) and Richard D’Ovidio (“The Call”) with Jason Clarke (“Zero Dark Thirty”) starring and executive producing. The Last Frontier is set in the remote Alaskan wilderness and will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on Friday, October 10, 2025 with the first two episodes and followed by new episodes every Friday through December 5.
The Last Frontier centers on Frank Remnick (Clarke). He is the only U.S. marshal overseeing the goings-on of a quiet, barren landscape of a section of rugged Alaskan wilderness. His sleepy town is shattered when a prison transport plane crashes, setting dozens of violent inmates free to roam through the wilds. As Frank is handling the aftermath of the crash, he begins to get the sense that this crash wasn’t an accident after all and the effects of this crash will have wide-reaching implications.
Dominic Cooper (The Gold), Haley Bennett (The Magnificent Seven), Simone Kessell (Yellowjackets), Dallas Goldtooth (Reservation Dogs), Tait Blum (For All Mankind), and Academy Award Nominee and multi-Emmy Award winner Alfre Woodard (Clemency) make up the rest of the cast for The Last Frontier.
The Last Frontier is executive produced by Bokenkamp and D’Ovidio, who also serve as writers, alongside Clarke, Laura Benson (The Big C), Glenn Kessler (Bloodline), Albert Kim (Nikita) and series episodic director Sam Hargrave (Extraction).
